#1ย Avoid all dairy like cheese, cold milk and yogurt. Keep those nasal passages clear and maintain a good flow of energy in this area of theย body. Heavy and cold foods like dairy often cause blockages leading to congestion that can aggravateย and create soreness in the throat.
#2 Do theย Lion pose. The yoga pose where you breathe through your nose and slowly exhale a big “ha!” through your mouth while your tongue is sticking out. Yes, that’s one.

#4 Gargle with 1 cup of warm water and 1/2 tsp of turmeric and salt in the morning and evening.ย The good ol’ fashion gargle with a touch of anti-everything turmeric.
#5 Drink a small cup of warm milk (warm milk has aย lighter qualityย than cold milk and does not create mucous)ย with 1/2 tsp of turmeric. Warm milk is soft and soothing and with a touch of turmeric, a natural anti-inflammatory and anti-biotic, this can help.
#6 Enjoy 3 cups of herbal tea. 2 parts ginger, 2 parts cinnamon and 1 part licorice, 3 times a day. Drinking spiced warm water will help flush the lymphatic system and keep the digestion from becoming sluggish. Keep the fire going and avoid constipation.
#7 Get steamy with some rosemary or eucalyptus oil. This is a good option if you are feeling a sinus congestion too.
